Caleb Smith (Domhnall Gleeson) a programmer at a huge Internet company, wins a contest that enables him to spend a week at the private estate of Nathan Bateman (Oscar Isaac), his firm's brilliant CEO. When he arrives, Caleb learns that he has been chosen to be the human component in a Turing test to determine the capabilities and consciousness of Ava (Alicia Vikander), a beautiful robot. However, it soon becomes evident that Ava is far more self-aware and deceptive than either man imagined.

A wastes of my 1hr and 48 minutes when i choose thriller i'm thinking a bit scary on the suspenseful side this was just a horrible guy doing horrible thing and getting a easy way out while a good guy coming along by chance mind you gets fucked because he tried to do the right thing? fuck was the message behind the bs this has to be worse movie i have watched all time no joke. There was any good reason for her too leave him behind he was not the one putting her through the anguish and suffering mind you the man that did was able to be murdered which if you ask me is far better faith then being used and left to died yeah i’m convinced the only reason this movie has the ratings it does is because everyone wants to be hip and with the curve watch this bull shit because someone told me it was good i am now going to have to hang them by their toes for suggesting me this absolute steaming pile of cow excrement.

This was an incredibly surreal A.I. fueled nail biter, and it is probably one of the best stories I've seen about humans creating and interacting with artificial intelligence. The suspense that the characters built throughout the story left me intrigued throughout the entire movie, and the concept was incredibly compelling and horrifying at the same time. I definitely recommend this for sci-fi, drama, and thriller fans!
