The tone of the film is also unexpectedly lyrical -- like a fairytale, albeit grimmer than Grimm. Unrelieved horror and violence can be enervating, but this film has the benefit of truth, and a message of survival.

I don’t understand why this movie was rated so low. It’s a hell of an independent film. Idris puts it all on the floor proving his range to be top three actors of our millennial generation. Not only him but the entire cast was phenomenal. Warning: it is racially heavy so be ready.
