Pushing the limits of an R rating, this sequel to 2000's surprise hit starts with the blood dripping madly and then amps it up to levels as to now unseen in American horror.

The opening premonition is a series best and the deaths are killer (he he), but the expedited runtime means that the characters are shallow, their relationship to each other under developed, and many of them just kinda suck.

And I thought the first Final Destination was good! But this one ups the ante so much and turns everything from the last movie up to eleven! First off, the intensity of the premonition scene is turned up in this movie compared to the first. The log truck scene is iconic for a reason. The effects are so good and the minimal use of CGI helps it look so horrifyingly realistic. Now I know why people are so scared of log trucks! The acting is also really good. I think all the actors work overtime to sell the fact that they really are scared of the impending doom and the fact that they know they will die. I also think the kill scenes are cool and surpass the first movie. There are so many elaborate yet gory ways that people die in this film. I also enjoy trying to guess how a person will die, especially during the apartment scene. Stuff like that just makes it more fun to watch these movies. Overall,I think this is an awesome sequel that surpasses the original in my opinion.

It's at it's finest when it doesn't take itself so ridiculously serious, and at moments let's its guard down for a decent kill, but mostly it's just godawful acting, nonsense dialog filmed in the worst way possible.
