Alicia T. @RT76344673 1d I don’t think I’ve ever watched a movie as horrible as this one. It was boring, not scary, and not suspenseful. I don’t even know what category to put it in because it tries to be a horror movie, a suspense movie, a supernatural movie, and a time-travel movie all at once, and fails at all of them. The story follows a pregnant girl and her brother who hear someone screaming in tall grass and decide to walk into it for some reason. They get lost, trust random strangers, and then the movie becomes a confusing mess. Time keeps jumping around, people die and come back, and nothing is ever explained in a way that makes sense. Then there’s a giant magical rock controlling the grass, and touching it somehow makes people “one with the grass.” What? Who thought this was a good idea? This movie was a complete waste of 1 hour and 40 minutes. Nothing makes sense, and I was losing brain cells trying to follow it. 1 star. The concept was good and had potential, but the movie just wasn't good. The movie got weirder and weirder as it went on which is to be expected for a story written by Stephen King. The problem is that it didn't make any sense and didn't provide any kind of quality entertainment while it was getting weirder. It received a rating on the Tomatometer of a little over 30% which is unfortunately deserved in this case. Not what we usually expect from Stephen King. He must have been off his A-Game with this one. Usually I love his work with this exception. Whereas people say it's about evil in the grass I found a different view point. A young man is given a chance to change the a possibility and he did so at the end.
