An American adaptation of the Israeli show of the same name, "Euphoria" follows the troubled life of 17-year-old Rue, a drug addict fresh from rehab with no plans to stay clean. Circling in Rue's orbit are Jules, a transgender girl searching for where she belongs; Nate, a jock whose anger issues mask sexual insecurities; Chris, a football star who finds the adjustment from high school to college harder than expected; Cassie, whose sexual history continues to dog her; and Kat, a body-conscious teen exploring her sexuality. As the classmates struggle to make sense of their futures, the series tackles the teenage landscape of substance-enhanced parties and anxiety-ridden day-to-day life with empathy and candor.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Euphoria returns with less than the sum of its parts in a disjointed cavalcade of forced narratives that leave its talented cast stranded in the wind.

Levinson has brought this cast, at the height of their fame, back for what feels more like a humiliation ritual than a victory lap. These actors have graduated from Euphoria High, and the thing with school reunions is that no one wants to go to them. Go to Full Review

Euphoria is still bold, still daring, still lavish in its production. But it’s also still in search of a point to make. Its legacy after this final season depends on its ability to find one.  Go to Full Review

Adulthood, according to Euphoria, is a miserable exercise in futility -- a bleak experience in which nobody actually grows up. That nihilism proves to be a weak foundation for a show otherwise well positioned to reinvent itself. Go to Full Review

Levinson’s writing seemed to beg the question whether he was even showing open contempt for his characters. After all, why were they all still so immature, so lost, so stuck in passive behavior? Was all this intended to indict the audience as well? Go to Full Review

The misogyny of Euphoria Season 3 could be accumulated to create a monument of its own. Go to Full Review

'Euphoria' used to feel like nothing else on television. However, Season 3 is beautiful to watch, but the soul that made it special? It's gone. Go to Full Review

Carolina V @RT58659916 2d The budget can't hide it anymore because It's just so poorly written the characters lost their complexity and whole brain to fit in the narrative of selling and exploring themselves in some way. You could say the show is meant to shock but season one and two made it without becoming a joke and even that argument wouldn't make it any better. Reminds me a lot of The Idol, another promising fiasco with themes so forced it's hilarious. The fact that there's a whole production and team behind this for a really long time and they all looked at this and thought it was good is hilarious. See more Carla F @Arcaarva 3d I could be a master piece. The first 2 seasons was masterpiece. Every episode was thrilling unexpected and original… this new season is so cheap . I don’t know how they could do that with this 5 master actors … the scenario is terrible. Very very cheap. They did a bad paste of Tarantino Breaking bad and a little bit of porn trend … even that they failed .. Why th character of Nate has been destroyed like that ? He was so intense and had a real personality. Did the productor want it humiliat him to poor pathetic guy who’s been bated over and over all of the season ? Cassie was also something and they made it into a stupid blondish girl… I have so much to say. i m so disappointed. The producer should be so ashamed of what he did . Like he was on fentanyl the all time to produce garbage like this ? See more Lukas L @Brobot532 3d What was once an outrageous and emotionally gripping show is now just outrageous. No depth, just a love less vision of our troubled era. See more Alayna P. @alaynaMOVIES69 4d Has its good moments but doesn’t live up to the other two seasons, still entertaining but not the same See more Maxine R @RT77255524 4d Horrible writing, music and average cinematography, please bring back Petra Collins and Labrinth…. and hire a new writing team See more Alice L @RT16340355 4d Simply horrible. The story just doesn't make sense. There's no Euphoria typical music. Or makeup. Or similar topics. It's like watching a totally different tv series. I'll pretend it never existed and ended with season 2. See more Read all reviews
