See more Kyle M @RT77296778 6d From an impeccably-performed humane basis of a father-son adventure treading on relatability so naturally thanks to Sean Connery’s stellar inclusion, aside the circumstances delivering spectacular sequences and driven with a brilliant script that ascends what makes "Raiders" such a classic, of course not to mention the spirited music at equal crescendos, this is a trilogic, much polished conclusion that listened and improved with a solidifying triumph ranking this as the best of the trilogy – and maybe the most entertaining of the series. Say what you will about 4 and 5, but the first three Indiana Jones’ makes up one of the better movie trilogies out there, and this was a great concluding chapter to that trilogy. The Last Crusade is a bit breezier and more lighthearted compared to the first two, especially Temple of Doom. Sometimes doing that can cheapen the impact, but here I think it really worked. Harrison Ford and Sean Connery have excellent father-son chemistry, and the adventure is just once again spectacularly entertaining. It’s a bit lighter on memorable set pieces compared to its predecessors, but it more than makes up for it with its fantastic climax, in which Indie races against time to retrieve the Holy Grail for the rescuing of his dying father. It’s a great threequel, and ended the trilogy in satisfying fashion. Really, the franchise as a whole should’ve ended here. See more Blobbo X @Blobbo May 16 James Bond Meets the Goonies.
