Verdict Style over substance. Despite Saif Ali Khan's charm, the nonsensical script and predictable twists make it skippable unless you're a die-hard fan. The story superficially seems alright, but when you start using three braincells instead of two it becomes clear there are many, many loose ends to it. Why on earth would Rajan need to call Moosa to ask if he wants to buy the Red Sun before actually stealing it, and then to become death threatened by him? He doesn't owe Moosa anything yet at that point if he steals it on his own accord. I would get it if Moosa had any stake in the game, but he just needs to sit back and relax. It just doesn't make sense on so many levels, and a lot of the violence feels overdone because there is no real stake in the game. One thing that is the most important in moviemaking, is storytelling and the script in this movie just downright sucks. See more Saswati T @RT46959758 May 1 Bollywood really cannot make a decent heist movie and it still refuses to give up. Jewel Thief, with its unoriginal title, was nothing but an attempt again. Jaideep Ahlawat and Saif Ali Khan are better actors and both seem to like to experiment. But I hope before they do so, they also read the script with more scrutiny. See more Read all reviews
