Haytham O @UtahOcean 21h Personally, I never knew much about the legend of Excalibur and King Arthur, so I just watched this from pair of fresh eyes. There are some issues with it, pacing and dialogue, but I could still recommend watching it for what it’s worth. It’s a fun and exciting story, for a new audience. The music was on point, the action sequences were action’ing, and the cast was top-notch. Some of the CGI was a bit weird though, and Jude Law’s power trip made you want to kick him in the nuts. It started out incredibly engaging and captivating. With Uther Pendragon showing the might of Excalibur. However, after we move onto the story of Arthur, everything fell apart. With his origin story crafting him into a coward rather than a hero. Constantly doing all the wrong things, even though hes been hardened through street life. I don't understand whether to feel sorry for the actor that had to deal with this terrible script, or feel bad for the character that's forced to act out ridiculous scenes to push a badly written plot. If you're feeling like you've got nothing else to watch, then this garbage might be a good pass time. However, there are a dozen better Arthur stories than this. This one had the action you might expect but none of the charm, humour and wit of his other movies, with the possible exception of casting David Beckham in an evil cameo role.
