MacGruber is a mid-tier comedy that leans heavily into absurd parody of action films, but the humor is very hit-or-miss depending on the viewer’s taste. The film is built around exaggerated gags and over-the-top situations, and while some moments land with genuine laughs, others feel stretched or repetitive, which makes the overall pacing uneven. The cast commits fully to the ridiculous tone, and that dedication helps elevate certain scenes, but it’s not always enough to keep the comedy consistently engaging from start to finish. Overall, it’s a very specific kind of humor that won’t work for everyone. There are some funny ideas and moments, but it doesn’t fully come together as a strong comedy for me. I’d rate it a 5/10.

Funniest movie I have seen in a long time. Some jokes may be repetitive (the car stereo) but they honestly hit hard when timed right. I miss good comedies, and this one doesn’t disappoint. Haven't laughed so hard in a while.
