Irate T @IrateTyrant Feb 26 CONAN or He-Man? It's a toss-up... I grew up as a child with VHSs of Conan and Master of the Universe. I loved them. As I had become an adult, I considered the descending list of best to be Conan the Barbarian, Masters of the Universe, and Conan the Destroyer. Now, I have to say Conan and He-Man are about equal for completely differing reasons. Conan of course takes itself seriously. But MotU is non-stop crazy action, the entire run-time. Arnold has always been great, but young Dolph is great too. What MotU has is 23-year-old Colleen Cox. I also recently watched Leprechaun with Jennifer Aniston. Cox is better in this earlier role. Everyone in MotU takes the basically decent dialog and action and gives 300%. It still manages to be intricate and interesting, mostly due to production values. I loved it, whereas I felt compelled to be forced to love Conan. I highly recommend Masters of the Universe, it's way better than you'd expect for an 80s action movie. Not sure why He-Man is shooting with a gun more than showing his physical strength. Weird how him being Prince Adam is left out. We're getting a new version this year, hopefully it'll be fun at least.
