Mike and Dave Stangle are young, adventurous, fun-loving brothers who tend to get out of control at family gatherings. When their sister Jeanie reveals her Hawaiian wedding plans, the rest of the clan insists that they both bring respectable dates. After placing an ad on Craigslist, the siblings decide to pick Tatiana and Alice, two charming and seemingly normal women. Once they arrive on the island, however, Mike and Dave realize that their companions are ready to get wild and party hard.

Every so often in comedy, the filmmakers will get into a creative groove in which every scene is imaginative, almost unhinged and completely successful. This happens in Mike and Dave.

If the second half was as good as the first half, we would have an all-timer modern comedy here. It’s low level humor but there is something about DeVine’s performance that works so well for me. It’s a cheap trick but the amount of other movie references becomes a joke itself in such quotable ways. Ridiculous & overdone in every way yet it just goes for it in really entertaining ways. Extremely predictable & definitely overstays its welcome but this is such a good dumb movie.

This movie was horrible, every other actor was good but that one actor who’s the brother no matter what movie I watch I tend to hate him and dislike him. If I see he is featured in any other movies I don’t even watch due to his POOR PERFORMANCE AND ANNOYANCE

It was a fun, low stakes Millenial style humor movie. Aubrey Plaza is always a gem. Anna Kendrick delivered more laughs than I thought she would. It isn't serious. It is non-sensical. That's why it's *fun.* Every movie doesn't have to be a piece of cinema. If you're on the fence, give it a go and let yourself enjoy something and relax. There's a place for silly and absurd comedy. And in this day and age, Lord knows it's more precious now more than ever. No politics. No social movements. No references. No snark or cynicism. Just silly fun. I'm so glad I ignored the negative reviews and gave it a watch. I haven't laughed like this in quite a while. It was an escape. A sorely needed one. Screw the critics. It's their job to be negative. If you want to feel positive for a couple hours, it's worth your time.
