Blamed for a terrorist attack on the Kremlin, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the entire IMF agency are disavowed by the U.S. government, while the president initiates the Ghost Protocol. Forced to go "off the grid" -- left without resources or backup -- Hunt must somehow clear the agency's name and prevent another attack. Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol is, in a word, awesome. Better than that, it is the first film in Tom Cruise's TV-to-feature series that I have enjoyed start to finish, beginning to end and for every single moment of its two hour-plus running time.

Most of this one felt a bit more forgettable compared to MIP3, but similar to that one, this felt very structured and consistent. Very good highs, but pretty forgettable lows.

Ghost Protocol has gonna be one of the most underrated Mission Impossible movies I have ever watched. And besides, it’s from the guy who directed The Iron Giant, The Incredibles and Ratatouille, so yeah that’s a win. 👍

Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol is the new high bar to clear for the rest of the M:I series. I loved everything about this movie. This being the fourth movie, you can tell Tom Cruise has settled into the role and knows who he wants Ethan to be and how he wants Ethan to act. Tom delivers an amazing performance as Ethan and really cements Ethan Hunt as one of the most iconic action heroes of all time. I think this movie had the best supporting cast and had the best team Ethan has worked with thus far. Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, and Simon Pegg all have great chemistry and make for a fun yet professional team that's very entertaining to watch. I wish Luther had been in this one for longer than a cameo, but that's a minor complaint. The plot for this one strikes the perfect balance of being involved but not convoluted or over complicated. Definitely an improvement over the first three. But the best part of this movie is the action. The action scenes alone make this movie worth it!
