But it’s got some good stunt work and it’s worth a watch if you’re into 70s movies in general. See more SkyRo P @TheMovieSearch 01/05/2025 The action film "Mitchell," released in 1975, was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. I struggled to get into it and found it difficult to follow the plot. The film felt incredibly lackluster, and it seemed to be lost in the screenwriting process. You’d think that a movie from that era would have at least made a better effort to check the boxes for what constitutes a compelling cinematic experience, especially considering that many films from the 70s and earlier managed to do just that. Unfortunately, "Mitchell" missed the mark completely. It was dead on arrival, and there were moments when I had to fast-forward just to get past some truly ridiculous dialogue and overly drawn-out scenes that went nowhere. The entire experience felt disastrous from the moment I pressed play, as if the filmmakers hadn’t bothered to proofread the script before giving it the green light. I suspect the director may have been a well-known figure in his time, leading the production company to approve the project based solely on his reputation or that of the lead actor, rather than the quality of the material. Overall, it was an extremely difficult watch, and I wouldn’t recommend this film to anyone. See more John R @RT65756385 02/22/2023 Watched the MST3k version on Youtube. See more 06/26/2017 Watching some of the old MST3K episodes available for streaming on Hulu and Netflix (there is a different random selection on each platform). Whether it is Joel or Mike watching these awful movies with the bots I do not envy their torture. Their snarky comments add some entertainment value, but my ratings are based on the movie's quality itself and not the commentary broadcast from the satellite of love. The guys really lay into Joe Don Baker who makes an awful lead and plays a completely unlikeable character. Disastrous all around production. Bad pace, continuity, and no taste. See more 11/13/2016 God awful cop action film appears to want to be like Dirty Harry (1971), but can't quite make it. Joe Don Baker is no Clint Eastwood. It is still worth a few laughs though.
