Gunn gives it a style that pays homage to superhero comics with a violent and exaggerated approach, but, unfortunately, it's black comedy is dull and irremediably shabby in it's exercise about the red-suited vigilante. [Full review in Spanish]

How this movie made me feel in one word: Discontented. James Gunn, Rainn Wilson, low-budget action, what more could you ask for? I guess a little more than I got. I thought that the film was fine but I didn't love it as much as I hoped I would. Page is absolutely hilarious as Boltie and there are some shocking moments that made me laugh. At the end of the day, I left somewhat disappointed. Best Character: Boltie Best Quote: "Shut up, crime!" - Frank Best Scene: The Final (brutal) Fight Note: I really want to try those eggs. I think this movie was ahead of it's time. It would do much better if it was released within the last few years, given all the Superhero movie fatigue. It's like a more relatable and funny version of Falling Down. Kick-Ass and Super make a great double feature. The only issue with Super is the tonal changes, which can be jarring. You start out kind of rooting them on, then Wham! Pow! it hits you over the head in a different way, and changes your perspective about the movie. I think that was a good thing, given we all have those fantasies....
