It’s very clear that Braverman has a lot of respect and reverence for his subject, and it’s worth a watch for those who are curious about this goofy guy who used to slap on a foreign accent and play with bongos & people’s perceptions.

The best conceptualization Braverman is able to offer as to why Kaufman is funny is that he was trying to take his audience hostage as they sat mystified, trying to decide whether or not he was actually telling a joke or just being excessively awkward.
