While shopping at an outdoor market, young reporter Tintin (Jamie Bell), accompanied by his faithful dog, Snowy, buys a model of an old ship called the Unicorn. A shady character named Sakharine (Daniel Craig) and later an American named Barnaby (Joe Starr) try to buy the model from him, but Tintin refuses. The lad discovers that the ship contains a clue about a hidden treasure, but before he can locate it, Tintin is kidnapped and given over to the custody of drunken Capt. Haddock (Andy Serkis).

movie was terrible and rushed, i felt sick watching it and i think i would rather drown in albert Einstein's poop and pee than watch this. I watched this in class and everyone including me was vomiting while watching it literally its just sooooo sickening and such a gross movie. ANYONE that thinks this movie is good can eat kangaroo dookie and wee wee.....

LOVE IT! ONE OF THE BEST ACTION MOVIES OF THE 2010s! PERIOD. Saw it it with my grandfather when it came out and I've loved it ever since. The action is fun, it has great humorous moments including funny dynamics between Jamie Bell's Tintin and Andy Serkis's Captain Haddock, the characters are well written and respectful of their comic-book counterparts, and Sakharine is just one HELL of a villain. Daniel Craig absolutely delivers here. In fact, I would say ALL the actors deliver here. Yeah, the motion-capture animation may look a little dated by today's standards but don't forget: This movie was made in 2011. That's kind of expected. Overall, Can't recommend it enough. GREAT SNAKES!!! BLISTERING BARNACLES!!! IT'S AWESOME!!!

A comicbook chase done right The Adventures of Tintin nails its animation style by capturing Hergé’s spirit without copying the comics one to one, so it feels respectful and still fully cinematic. The action leans into a comiclike, heightened tone rather than realism, which makes the big set pieces, including the crane duel, genuinely fun to watch. The movie stays breezy and entertaining, with strong voice acting across the board. Jamie Bell fits Tintin naturally, Daniel Craig fully disappears into his role, Andy Serkis is excellent, and Simon Pegg with Nick Frost as Thomson and Thompson is perfect casting. My main complaint is simple: it is so enjoyable that I kept wishing there were more of it.
