The Argument is the furthest thing from a generic romantic comedy, and I really enjoyed the mesh of the theatrical and cinematic space. However the first 45 minutes are painful to watch. It doesn't become funny till Danny and Maggies characters start to snap. It's sad in a movie where the whole premise is about an argument between the two main characters, the best part of the movie is the argument happening between the co-stars.
