In 1977, paranormal investigators Ed (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine Warren come out of a self-imposed sabbatical to travel to Enfield, a borough in north London. There, they meet Peggy Hodgson, an overwhelmed single mother of four who tells the couple that something evil is in her home. Ed and Lorraine believe her story when the youngest daughter starts to show signs of demonic possession. As the Warrens try to help the besieged girl, they become the next targets of the malicious spirit.

Too long by far, James Wan's sequel nevertheless has great set-piece and a hornier version of Ed and Lorraine. As an Enfield Poltergeist/Haunting adaptation, the entire last act is fiction, but Farmiga and Wilson are as watchable as ever

James Wan has done it again! He is a Face in this new generation of Horror! The Conjuring 2 piggybacks brilliantly off the original to deliver a tale that will forever be stamped in cinema history. Ever since the Exorcist horror fans searched and craved for a new face of terror, they finally got what they wished for. A New Icon has emerged in the horror franchise merging the past with the present. Search the film for the name and if you dare maybe you'll find it.
