It's a strangely disconnected movie that leads up to a point, makes it, and then drones on for another 45 minutes in increasingly witless cliches. Go to Full Review

Bad, but hard to blame Dafoe for clearing his plate on this meal. It's a rite of passage for pantheon character actors to ply their trade in otherwise puerile war films because they suspect, as Dafoe does here, they can walk away with the whole campaign. Go to Full Review

Chanley G @SherpaNetworks 6d Sherpa Review: Flight of the Intruder Flight of the Intruder is an uneven but surprisingly effective military drama. Brad Johnson somehow delivers some of the best and worst acting found in the same film. At times, his performance feels stiff and unconvincing, yet there are just enough flashes of genuine emotion and intensity to keep the story grounded and mask the weaker moments. The film ultimately hits its mark through its aerial combat sequences, strong military atmosphere, and several memorable scenes. Danny Glover and Willem Dafoe bring added credibility and depth, helping elevate the material whenever the dialogue or performances begin to falter. It may not be a great film, but it remains entertaining, sincere, and memorable enough to revisit. ★★★☆☆ Reach new heights with Sherpa ~Sherpa Networks See more Ola G @Ollie1972 Jul 18 Macho man John Milius "Flight of the Intruder" is based on the novel of the same name by Stephen Coonts, based on his experience as an A-6 Intruder pilot during the Vietnam War. The film earned mostly negative reviews upon its release, with many reviewers noting inconsistencies in plot and continuity errors in the final edit, as well as the low-budget special effects (Wikipedia). It´s a flag waving patriotic right wing mess depicting US as a revenge stricken armed force that just want to go "bombs away" as a solution to everything. Similar to the current situation in 2026... Can't understand how specifically Danny Glover and Willem Dafoe said yes to this project. No need to see. See more Ryan S @RT45739928 Aug 15 Can’t believe how many people disliked this movie. It was a favorite growing up and probably the entire reason I joined the navy. It has more realism than Top Gun and that was rated higher. Guess military realism means nothing in Hollywood. See more alan g @agenser 06/28/2025 A highly underrated movie. Good acting, cheesy plot but accurate for the vietnam era. Great action sequences. See more James N @RT08930800 06/10/2025 Slow waste of good actors cheesy totally odd screenwriting See more Jelisije J @jjosifovic 05/22/2025 This film is a mess that focuses on a bunch of characters that are not really necessary with the overall finished product. Wasted potential is the best description of this film. See more Read all reviews
