Every sequence is perfectly constructed, the iconic moments are pure cinema, and Tuco is one of the great big screen characters. Absolutely lives up to its own monumental image. Director Sergio Leone's unique use of the camera - long, uninterrupted shots in wide angle alternating with extreme close-ups - and Ennio Morricone's unique, wildly inventive soundtrack are blended to perfection. The career-making performances by Eli Wallach (hilarious), Lee Van Cleef (chilling) and Clint Eastwood (cool) are nothing short of iconic, and the film's finale is so good it will send shivers of cinematic joy down your spine. It's a movie of epic proportions; it's funny and violent, but underneath it all there is a strong anti-war message. It's a cinematic masterpiece and one of the most influential movies of all time. Oh, and it's also tons of fun, and you should see it on the biggest screen possible. Before this movie was made director, Sergio Leone made two western films with Clint Eastwood, "A Fistfull of Dollars" & "For a Few Dollars more". These films are some of the greatest western films ever made. To finish off his trilogy, Leone directed this film. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly(GBAU) is an odyssey of Leone's works. The GBAU takes from its brothers and creates a thrilling story line. Though it is long, the film almost never drags. This film revolutionized the western genre and is one of my favorite films of all time. The film has amazing performances from Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, and Eli Wallach. The film is praised by critics(as it should be) and is a great watch. The film is 3 hours long but is worth the watch for its brilliance is astounding. It is a great film. A rivalidade entre os personagens ao longo da trama e a relação de amor e ódio entre Tuco e Lourinho foram muito bem construídas. A introdução do Olhos de Anjo é excelente, e a disputa final é, sem dúvidas, uma das cenas mais icônicas da história do cinema. A obra também traz duas das trilhas sonoras mais famosas e marcantes de todos os tempos. Porém, considero o ritmo bastante lento. Há muitas cenas repetitivas, e o filme seria melhor tendo uns 20 minutos a menos. Todo o trecho da guerra foi desinteressante aos meus olhos. Se possível, evite a versão estendida. De modo geral, vale muito a pena assistir, pois é um filme que moldou profundamente a cultura e a história do cinema. Simultaneously subverting while satirizing western stereotypes in a smart, tight, and immensity satisfying trilogy-capper that is beautifully shot, has an historically influential score, and all comes together so well. It’s arguably the greatest Western ever made, and the best of a trilogy that kept on getting better.
