Quite a emotional film yet so sincere and honest with a few comedic moments. However I thought Ariel Winter was actually very good in acting (just as good as Reynolds) with a lot of lines memorised perfectly. But Burt here did steal the limelight from anyone who crossed him as he was fantastic. Lots of great scenes however I think this new gen and old gen collaboration is a bit too of a repeated trope nowadays. (especially with coming of age films and family films too.) But I would not listen to the critics on this one as they are (always) wrong with indie films. Overall cool watch but would be a bit a 😴😴 for gen alpha. Grade: B+

Familiar gimmick specially treated as semi-celebrative portrait for Burt Reynolds with unexpected humble turns after awkward, cringey bumps, manageably made up throughout by good performances alongside his co-stars Ariel Winters and Chevy Chase. (B)

Goddamnit. This film felt so personal to Burt Reynolds. So emotional I can't even. Reynolds is one of the few actors that I can say I've seen most of his films. This was.... fuck man. RIP to the one of the greatest actors to grace the screen.
