Police Squad Lt. Frank Drebin (Leslie Nielsen) is retired and spending time with his new wife, Jane (Priscilla Presley), when he's called back into action by Capt. Ed Hocken (George Kennedy). A terrorist named Rocco (Fred Ward) plans to bomb the Academy Awards ceremony, so Frank goes undercover as Phil Donahue to try and head off disaster. He causes almost as much trouble as he prevents in an Oscar show complete with over-the-top production numbers and numerous celebrity appearances.

Still some laugh out loud funny moments, particularly towards the end with Leslie Nielsen as good as ever. However, a big drop from the first two movies as the writers seemingly forgot that the brilliance of the first two movies was in their simplicity.

Again, just like the previous two, I felt almost exactly the same. Pretty impressive that the whole trilogy made me feel the same after each film. Definitely going to be the most forgetful, but it was still funny.

I enjoyed the first two Naked Gun films, but this third entry feels tired and uninspired. The humor rarely lands, and the story is bland and forgettable—more a box-checking sequel than a creative effort. Leslie Nielsen remains committed and occasionally sparks a laugh, but even his charm can’t disguise the film’s lack of fresh ideas. It’s not terrible, just disappointingly hollow—a finale that feels more like obligation than comedy.
