The Teacher who Promised the Sea is a tenderly realised and strikingly well shot film anchored by a fine performance by Auquer, whose appealing portrayal makes us bond to Antonio very quickly. Go to Full Review

Despite being a film that is too sacharine and uneven... El Maestro que Prometió el Mar is sustained largely thanks to actor Enric Auquer's interpretation of the republican teacher Antoni Benaiges. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

A moving presentation of nostalgic childhood moments of innocence and tenderness and the desire to fulfill dreams against the backdrop of the difficult times that occurred. A must-see film despite its sadness, with strengths and magic that will accompany you long after the film. See more Teopisto G @RT05024716 08/04/2024 A moving testament to humanity. Nostalgic and a deeply retelling of a significant human experience.
