Chrissie (Jordana Brewster) and her friends (Matthew Bomer, Taylor Handley, Diora Baird) set out on a road trip for a final fling before one is shipped off to Vietnam. Along the way, bikers (Lee Tergesen, Cyia Batten) harass the foursome and cause an accident that throws Chrissie from the vehicle. The lawman who arrives on the scene kills one of the bikers and brings Chrissie's friends to the Hewitt homestead, where young Leatherface (Andrew Bryniarski) is learning the tools of terror.

Completely superfluous and devoid of originality. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, a prequel to the 2003 reboot, is perhaps one of the worst films of 2006. Taking place four years before the events of the 2003 reboot, the film's premise fails on all cylinders. Predictable ending, cliche characters, uncompelling backstory, incoherent plot, and while R. Lee Ermey does a superb job as the brutal faux Sheriff Hoyt, and Leatherface is terrifying as ever. The latter two are not enough to salvage the movie, given that the audience should have a good idea of what happens next. In short, there will be no happy ending or triumphant victory over Leatherface, since this prequel preludes the events of the 2003 film. Do not watch.

This horror prequel is not that bad however for the R rated version is terrible but the unrated version is much better and fully bloody and gory and R. Lee Ermey (RIP) still terrified as Sheriff Hoyt from the 2003 remake version and really unbelievable nasty (with respect) make-up effects by KNB that looks very realistic.
