Mr. and Mrs. Twit are the meanest, smelliest, nastiest people in the world who also happen to own and operate the most disgusting, most dangerous, most idiotic amusement park in the world, Twitlandia. But when the Twits rise to power in their town, two brave orphans and a family of magical animals are forced to become as tricky as the Twits in order to save the city. A hysterically funny, wild ride of a film (chock-full of the Twits' beloved tricks--from the Wormy Spaghetti to the Dreaded Shrinks), The Twits is also a story for our times, about the never-ending battle between cruelty and empathy.

Some of it feels a bit underdeveloped, but the suggestion that we could all be living in Twitlandia if we don’t find deeper wells of empathy on all sides feels like a valuable one. Go to Full Review

The Twits is exactly what one might imagine a Netflix Dahl adaptation to be: Diluted, simplistic animation, as cloying and feckless and smoothed over as anything from the last decade of Illumination films. Go to Full Review

Any of Dahl’s gruesome sense of fun is obliterated by a bulldozing message of empathy and kindness... This is vile and revolting in all the wrong ways. Go to Full Review

This is a mess, and even getting the dreaded shrinks cannot save us from its mediocrity. Go to Full Review

The CG picture-book aesthetic varies in quality, but the voice cast is largely excellent, with Martindale and Vegas especially enthusiastic as the crazed, slapstick villains. Go to Full Review

The tone never quite settles, and there's a sense of missed opportunity here in making something so specific just a bit too universal. Go to Full Review

Jane R @RT94622944 2h Fucking disgraceful. If Roald Dahl saw what has come of his book, I am sure he would burn each and every copy of that book, if he didn’t take his life on the spot. If he were to take his life on reaction to this utter disaster, i am sure it would be in a violent, long lasting manner- so he could punish himself for even touching ink to paper. Think of all those who died in wars across the globe, guided by the prospect of saving future generations- i whole heartedly believe, they would not have done so if they knew the generations they gave their lives for would go on to create this atrocity. Not only is the ‘film’ (i feel the word film is too kind for this thing) horrendously written, making a fucking shit show of Roald Dahl’s writing, but it is a disgrace that man-kind created something so horrendous as this. All those who aided in the creation of this deserve a nuclear bomb to come their way. See more Davetheman 1d That wasnt based off the original book its just a complete movie disaster See more Patrick C @RT17776932 Mar 21 Rotten half-baked sloppy shite. See more Niah T @elonmusk183 Mar 10 good animation but story sucks See more Johnwil B @Johnwil123 Mar 7 Appreciate the animation but for me the storyline in the end is not powerful enough to convince me this movie is good. But it does have an highlight about forgiving someone, that's I quote See more liz T @lizzer6767 Feb 28 This movie was an actual waste of my time. I think if Ronald Dahl was alive today he would personally hate it. I cannot comprehend how anyone approved this movie and happily recommend it to others. Aside from some of the scenes containing borderline FETISH content, the movie has several plot holes and is a horrible adaptation of the book. Overall, this was a -2/10, DO NOT watch with anyone especially your kids. See more Read all reviews
