Lara Croft is the fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer who vanished years earlier. The real pleasure of this Tomb Raider is Alicia Vikander’s distinctively living embodiment of Lara Croft. Part athlete, part sleuth, this Lara is all sinew and soulful drive.

Poorly scripted fiction loosely based off the video games. Rather than an intelligent heroine, we get an ignorant girl who makes all the wrong choices, starting with her choice to let her family estate go into disrepair with the possibility of getting sold off because she refuses to believe her father is dead. The writers tried to make her down to earth when in reality she was just ignorant and easily taken advantage of. The plot was lacking and the story dragged. Dont waste your time.

It was good and the actors were great I recommend if you like tomb raider but it is not whatsoever like the game, the story is not the game so if you are watching it for an exact video game adaptation then it is not the movie for you.

Alicia Vikander is very appealing, which matters because she is in almost every scene. The film looks and sounds excellent, and it borrows successfully from Raiders of the Lost Ark without feeling like a cheap imitation. It was fun, fast-moving, and better than I expected. I especially appreciated that the violence was stylized and choreographed rather than cruel or gory.
