Repairmen Val McKee (Kevin Bacon) and Earl Bassett (Fred Ward) are tired of their dull lives in the small desert town of Perfection, Nev. But just as the two try to skip town, they happen upon a series of mysterious deaths and a concerned seismologist (Finn Carter) studying unnatural readings below the ground. With the help of an eccentric couple (Reba McEntire, Michael Gross), the group fights for survival against giant, worm-like monsters hungry for human flesh.

"Tremors" (1990) is an excellent creature-feature type of a movie. I have honesty never seen this film up till 2026 when I watched for the first time on 4K UHD. This film is a blast from start to finish, if you know what you are getting into. Creature design is very good here and all of the practical effects do look stunning even in 2026. The set design, sound design, cinematography and just a sheer energy in this movie is very good. Overall, "Tremors" isn't going to blow anyone away expecting for something special, but it does deliver on being an excellent creature-feature. Recommended.` See more Read all reviews
