This tribute to the beloved supernatural TV show has four episodes. In the first, racist Bill Connor (Vic Morrow) is transformed into a Jew in World War II. Next, Mr. Bloom (Scatman Crothers) comes to a retirement home to teach the residents that they are only as young as they feel. In the third, teacher Helen Foley (Kathleen Quinlan) meets Antony (Jeremy Licht), a boy who is not what he seems. Finally, panicky plane passenger John Valentine (John Lithgow) sees gremlins attacking his flight.

Twilight Zone: The Movie fails because it tries to blend the spirit of the TV show into a medium whose spirit has evolved away from subtle storytelling. The result is like trying to merge a Wagner opera with a Debussy sonata.

It was an intriguing idea to try and transplant the beloved show onto the big screen, but ultimately better decisions needed to be made as to what stories to include, resulting in a curious anthology film that's only half recommendable.

Filme bacaninha, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são bacaninhas, a história é mais ou menos, o elenco é mais ou menos, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são bacaninhas, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, o filme mostra esquetes de diferentes histórias com alguns com plot twists ou não, com tudo isso, eu até recomendo esse filme

Twilight Zone: The Movie picks up where the original Rod Serling series left off- with four great tales and a great opening sequence that holds your interest throughout the movie. With the four stories done based on classic Twilight Zone episodes and directed by Steven Spielberg, John Landis, Joe Dante and George Miller, the way that these stories are presented are enough to hold any Twilight Zone's fans interest. Also the narrations for each segment are done by Zone alum Burgess Meredith, who provides a voice over introduction for the segments and you know when they have someone from the original show doing that, it will be worth your while. 5 out of 5 stars- See this- whether you are a classic or current Twilight Zone fan- it will hold your interest like it did mine and many others.

IMO, the only reason to watch this is to see actors before they were famous. Otherwise, this was pretty bad and didn't live up to the TV series. Grade: D

Great memories watching this fun Spielberg 80’s film again and again. Overall, a lot of fun. Some episodes better than others. The humorous intro with geeky references was a great way to start it off. The first episode was not bad and suspenseful but hard to root for the bigoted protagonist (RIP Vic Morrow). The second was directed by Spielberg and ironically the worst. Well shot and great performance by Scatman Crothers but it was lacking the mystery and suspense that defines Twilight Zone. The 3rd and 4th were excellent! Great stories, suspense, visually spectacular and helps end off the movie on a high note.
