P @Archives1987 Feb 20 Twilight Zone: The Movie picks up where the original Rod Serling series left off- with four great tales and a great opening sequence that holds your interest throughout the movie. With the four stories done based on classic Twilight Zone episodes and directed by Steven Spielberg, John Landis, Joe Dante and George Miller, the way that these stories are presented are enough to hold any Twilight Zone's fans interest. Also the narrations for each segment are done by Zone alum Burgess Meredith, who provides a voice over introduction for the segments and you know when they have someone from the original show doing that, it will be worth your while. 5 out of 5 stars- See this- whether you are a classic or current Twilight Zone fan- it will hold your interest like it did mine and many others. Some episodes better than others. The humorous intro with geeky references was a great way to start it off. The first episode was not bad and suspenseful but hard to root for the bigoted protagonist (RIP Vic Morrow). The second was directed by Spielberg and ironically the worst. Well shot and great performance by Scatman Crothers but it was lacking the mystery and suspense that defines Twilight Zone. The 3rd and 4th were excellent! Great stories, suspense, visually spectacular and helps end off the movie on a high note. See more Read all reviews
