Hazza F @Hazza10723 6h The story begins with the protagonist leaving voicemail messages for his beloved younger sister after her death, and from there unfolds into a romance sparked by a chance encounter. While the romantic elements are familiar and fairly conventional, the film does an excellent job of portraying the protagonist's grief and emotional burden. Although the romance itself follows a predictable path, the protagonist's personal growth is handled well, allowing his humanity and charm to shine through. Overall, the screenplay and story feel like a typical, formulaic romance, but they are executed with enough care to make the film an enjoyable and satisfying experience. The one thing is it was a little to inappropriate for it to be rated PG-14. Other than that it was an amazing romcom and is going to be one of the few great romcoms of this generation! The weak man and strong woman posed by Hollywood these days is exhausting. Predictable movies are not wanted.The pendulum has swung too far on male bashing! See more Wink D @RT22905158 1d The script is incredibly tight. It has everything that you could want in a movie. Some have said that the guy is creepy and that's true - and nearly everyone has done something they regret not confronting or coming clean in the beginning and that's the lesson. I have to believe most don't go stalking or do anything else illegal. In the world of romantic, which the movie mentions, Sleepless in Seattle, You've Got Mail, etc. this is pretty similar and seen as romantic because of the effort. Almost every character is awkwardly funny and it makes for some great jokes and setups. The movie also talks about how there are some crazy people out dating and most of them just seem to suck. And at work, no matter how good you are, especially how good you are, someone else will fail up while you may not get promoted. Hard work doesn't always equal reward, initially. It also doesn't fall into the trope of "girl moves to be with boy" and instead he uproots what little he has to be with her. See more Read all reviews
