Tyler Perry casts himself as this amazing husband but proceeds to joke about cheating on his wife. Never mind that he couldn't just settle for being a good husband in a happy relationship - he had to make his out-of-his-league wife the villain. Angela, the voice of reason, is constantly treated like a psych case. Sheila gets into a new romance after a divorce instead of getting time to herself. The only redeeming moments are "Boom!", the wine bottle, and the beautiful Black women in fur coats. The furs were furring. Marketed as a comedy but not funny except in the ironic sense, this is utterly and unequivocally BAD. The story follows four married couples who go on a trip to fix their problems, but instead, a lot of secrets come out. It’s full of drama, humor, and lessons about love, honesty, and forgiveness. My favorite character is Terry. I like him because he’s calm, understanding, and really tries to keep his marriage together. He shows what it means to be loyal and patient, even when things get hard. Unlike some of the other husbands in the movie, Terry actually listens and tries to solve problems instead of making them worse. He’s the kind of person who values family and believes in working things out. Why Did I Get Married? is one of Tyler Perry’s best movies because it feels real and teaches lessons about communication, trust, and love. It’s emotional, funny, and definitely makes you think about what it really means to stay committed. See more 05/04/2022 48% really?
