I really love Glenn Close as Cruella, she's the best actress to play that character, in my opinion, the other actors gave this movie some amazing star power and there is some Home Alone flavour to it. Glenn close is a perfect example of fear itself for kids and adults for kids. You think they're tough but no when she laughs it makes an adult actually rethink their choices and a kid run back to their parents I think it's an example of what I like to call the experimental live-action age of Disney they either choose to do animation or live action remakes or live action itself and I don't mind it. I think it clearly has the magic to do it unlike the current Disney itself we should go back and think I would like to see a animated Disney instead of using computers. People working with hand-drawn stuff And once in awhile. Maybe a live action now and then? Or maybe a touchstone picture or a Hollywood picture? Whatever happened to those? Now it's just the big Disney itself back then we had a choice. And the soundtrack good performance by the L.A. All-Star chorus when you pop in remake of 101 it feels like you're watching a live performance And you can notice some Easter eggs too. "Spoiler alert" Jasper is Dr. House If you look closely at the video game portion, you notice that they use the animated ones And if you're a big 101 Dalmatian fan like me, you'll notice that the film is missing things like the infamous phone call that they use in one of the TV trailers You know the one if you seen the original the critics on this website. Don't know me. I know old school Disney the ones before they own Fox before they own Star wars before they Own everything just remember they used to be a brand. They had an adult brand called touchstone pictures they had a brand for experimental called Hollywood pictures and they had a thing for sequels called Disney toon some of my childhood was from that era we should probably look back and think to ourselves. Should we start remaking everything until there's nothing left of Disney's career? Or we should be doing hand-drawn animation and make a subdivision of live-action remakes bring some brands back like Hollywood pictures for the experimental ones. Bring touchstone pictures. For the adult brand like Disney could live without national geographic they can keep Pixar but they can get rid of fox and give it back to news Corp. It's just my opinion on business but hear me out critics of the rotten tomato. This film was from my childhood as well and some people like it. I want to see this film. Be a 80% or higher on this thing and some of the cult films as well because we don't see this kind of stuff ever. Director Stephen Herek crafts a visually vibrant family comedy that stays true to the heart of the original while adding a dose of slapstick flair. Glenn Close steals every scene as the fabulously wicked Cruella de Vil — a larger-than-life performance that turns cartoon evil into couture camp. Her gleeful menace and extravagant costumes are worth the price of admission alone. Jeff Daniels and Joely Richardson provide warm, likable turns as the human heroes, while the real stars — the army of adorable dalmatians — keep the film brimming with energy and cuteness. That said, the movie’s humor occasionally leans too heavily on broad physical gags and loses some of the wit that made the 1961 version timeless. Still, with its dazzling production design, lovable canine chaos, and Glenn Close’s iconic performance, “101 Dalmatians” is a crowd-pleasing romp for the whole family.
