Wild Nights With Emily (2018) Sara Clements Olnek pens a story that is refreshing for the genre. It's not melancholy or narratively conflict-heavy as most queer stories are -- it's a comedy.

Her Smell (2018) Sara Clements [Becky Something is] her own being and Moss truly lives in her skin. And it doesn't matter that she isn't the best singer; there's a heartbroken sound to her music. A vulnerability that is hidden underneath selfishness and egotism.

Ash Is Purest White (2018) Sara Clements The first half of the film perfectly sets up a compelling gangster drama, but for the rest of the runtime, that genre completely disappears, and as a result, it struggles to figure out what kind of film it wants to be.
