Cuesta, Furriel, and Auquer are splendid actors, making their performances multilayered in a story that demands there be no heroes or villains, just people desperate for the truth. Go to Full Review

Firebreak is one of those movies that seems to be going in one direction, but then twists your attention in another. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

The film raises relevant themes—grief, collective paranoia, the construction of the "other" as a threat—but consumes them in a succession of shocks that prevent reflection from taking root. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Robert L @RT16024883 2d This movie is absolute trash. Mother loses her daughter during a fire outbreak and instead of looking for said daughter she spends 80% of the film accusing and torturing an innocent man she is sure has done something to her. Even after the man saves the daughter she beats him and leaves him to die in the fire. No concern for his life or innocence after all she’s done. Terrible writing, hatable characters. Are there themes of grief and loss? Sure but it doesn’t teach any valuable lessons learned and shows no humility. Forget this one. See more Kirsty- Lee W @RT04699224 5d This movie should be more appreciated by what it can offer. The storyline excellent, things aren't always what they seem & a movie lesson to remind never to judge a book by its cover, a movie title or or just because someone is weird, has mental health, autism ect. It shows to read into behaviours and listen to words used more openly. If someone is weird it does not mean they are a killer or doing something wrong. more so someone who asks for the police to be involved and apologising for every stage of a situation, including if they dont give information they may be with good intentions holding a promise to the person or child without the capacity to understand the severity of that withholding of information. We focus on dangers everyday of our lives and that should always be a standard but also being aware that not everything is a danger and potentially we can be our own form of danger to ourselves or others. End of review bye 👋 See more J.T. S @John_MT Mar 24 It frustrates me when they make stupid movies like this in Emergency situations. People need to grasp the need for listening to Emergency Personnel, especially when they give clear instructions! The amount of stress it puts on resources when people do stupid things like this is astounding. STOP making movies around ignoring professional orders! Aside from this point, the long drawn out drama was too much! i couldn't even sit through the whole damn movie. Horrible. See more Claudio C @Claudio666 Mar 21 Unbalanced Woman (12,343 – 20 Mar 2026) After the death of her husband, the widow Mara travels with her daughter Lide, her brother-in-law Luis, his wife Elena and their son Dani to empty her house in the woods to sell it. There is a fire in the woods and they decide to leave the place. However, Lide disrespects her mother and goes to the woods. When Mara’s neighbor Santiago arrives, he says that she saw Lide at the cabin. The family calls the police, that organize a search party and ask them to leave the place. Mara suspects that Santiago is responsible for Lide’s disappearance and convinces Luis to torture him to find the whereabouts of her daughter. "Cortafuego", a.k.a. "Firebreak" (2026), is an effective thriller about a fire in the woods, a missing girl and her unbalanced mother. The plot of injustice is tense, and Santiago is a beautiful peaceful character, responsible of the firebreak that saved the forest. My vote is seven. Title (Brazil): "Corta-Fogo" ("Firebreak") See more Bill T. @btreakle Mar 17 “Fire Break” 2026 This film was about recently whittled mother and her little girl who embarked on a journey with her brother-in-law and his wife and son 2 a forested area where they had property and the cabin. The setting was very believable deep heavily populated forest that seemed to go on for miles and miles a perfect place for someone to get lost. I would give this film AB grade for a psychological thriller that was very predictable. See more Marie M @Mariehadalillamb Mar 9 Terrible movie…the characters are insanely stupid to the point that it frustrates you. I can go on and on about how mundane and incredibly unsatisfying this movie was but I would run out of characters. I would not recommend unless you want your blood pressure to raise and have high cholesterol. See more Read all reviews
