Documenting the initial idea, early creation, first performance, and unprecedented success, Hamilton's America beautifully lays out the similarities between the life of Hamilton, the life of the show and the personal life of Miranda with operatic skill. Besides, other than catching an illegal bootleg on YouTube before it's unceremoniously taken down, this is may be closest we newbs will ever get to seeing the play itself.
