A year after killing vengeful hit-and-run victim Ben Wills (Muse Watson), who gutted her friends with an iron hook, college student Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) is still shaken by the experience. When her roommate, Karla (Brandy), wins a vacation for four to the Bahamas, she plans to bring along her boyfriend, Tyrell (Mekhi Phifer), attractive Will (Matthew Settle) and Julie. At the resort, Julie starts receiving threatening notes and realizes Ben is still alive.

Riding the late‑’90s/early‑2000s teen slasher wave, I Still Know What You Did Last Summer tries to turn Lois Duncan’s simple 1973 story into a franchise. Julie James is still coping with the past, her relationship is strained, and—after hilariously missing the capital of Brazil—she and friends win a vacation to an island resort during storm season. Naturally, the hook‑wielding killer returns, with a familiar twist about their identity. IKnow 2 is dumb fun, elevated by darker humor from Tyrell (Mekhi Phifer) and comic relief Titus Telesco (Jack Black). It’s pure baloney, so don’t take it seriously—none of these slashers from that era did. If you enjoy Scream-style teen horror, it’s an easy 100‑minute watch. With the franchise revival looming in 2025, it works as a nostalgic catch‑up, though casual viewers can skip straight to the reboot.
