Three middle-aged Frenchmen struggle with their love lives. Vincent (Yvan Attal) has been unfaithful to his wife, Gabrielle (Charlotte Gainsbourg), who in turn is considering an affair of her own with a man (Johnny Depp) she meets at a record shop. Georges (Alain Chabat) is frustrated with his domineering and argumentative wife, Nathalie (Emmanuelle Seigner), but finds himself unable to leave her. And Fred (Alain Cohen), a longtime bachelor, finds himself unexpectedly pursuing a monogamy.

Some interesting thoughts about sentimental relationships and a masterpiece scene with Charlotte Gainsbourg and Johnny Depp at a Virgin Store. A bit too long for my taste (in the end, this is a French movie) but it is well resolved. I like movies with good endings and this one has it.

This movie has decent acting and good ideas. But Unfortunately, both things are dragged down immensly by the poor writing and disjointed plot points.

It's a bit depressing on the onset and has little pick up. Great acting, but the story doesn't fully develop into anything. It has all the makings of a witty, intellectual commentary on modern day marriage but fails to actualize.
