"DTF St. Louis" is not a show I had heard much about, aside from seeing the unique title pop up on HBO earlier this year. After it performed very well at the Emmys, I decided to check it out. This is a series that is undeniably unique, and it was the rare piece of media I could watch completely blind. With its first episode, it has a great hook that kept me watching until the end. I do feel 7 episodes is a bit long considering how it ends, but it kept me engaged with its great performances. Overall, this is a show that mixed drama, comedy, and orginiality really well, and I think it truly does deserve to be seen.

Seemed interesting at first but devolved in to one of the worst shows I’ve seen. There’s a juvenile obsession with showing male genital pictures. Totally unrealistic “love infatuation” between the main characters. Dancing around in their underwear? Bateman’s character throws his career and family away just to be buddies with an odd friend. Ridiculous.

Conrad is a master at crafting a perfect murder mystery that steps out of the lines of what I expected. David Harbour and Jason Bateman were absolutely brilliant and the supporting cast of characters were just fantastic. DTF St. Louis was a home run and I hope it is awarded as well as the actors for such a brilliant mind bending out of the box murder mystery.

Great performances from everyone involved. I liked how they utilized the murder mystery angle to explore the complexities of these characters. Also liked how they balanced the tone between dark and comedic apart from one scene at the end: when it's revealed Floyd committed suicide but then it cuts to the detectives cracking jokes Felt really jarring and ruined the moment for me a bit. Otherwise really good show.
