Peter R @RT28447526 10h I began to dred when Jamie Lee Curtis came on the screen. Please tell me that NO ONE can be that obnoxious and with absolutely nothing of merit to say or do. Kidman can clearly act and the storyline had promise, but its NOT worth the effort of putting up with Curtis being a 24/7 dick and the millions of side stories. The wonderful content of the many books written by Patricia Cornwell, and top-notch actors to tell the story. I've watched all of the episodes of Season One, and I still have no idea what's happening. It's dark as far as the lighting. Way too dark. You can't make out what's happening. All they do is argue, and that is exhausting. The characters aren't portrayed as they are in the books. It is so disappointing. I actually had to try to find overviews of what happened in season one to try to figure it out, and even those didn't tell the story. I'm totally lost. All I remember is friction, backbiting, and negativity. I am holding out that someone will pay attention and save the show with Season two, but it would have to be a complete turnaround. I LOVE Jamie Lee Curtis, but they have her wardrobe so distracting with the bulging breasts, Yikes. I found the part set in the past (1998) more appealing, but Nicole Kidman is extraordinary in this series, which makes the part set in the present day interesting as well. Follows two different timelines and the one from the past is done fa better than the current period — but it’s the current period that has all the big name stars. I didn't read the books, so maybe that's part of the issue, but still thing is just all over the place. Nicole Kidman does a good job, but Jamie Lee Curtis seems like she recycled her frantic mother role from The Bear, this time trying to convince us she's a middle aged wife of a retired detective, and not buying it at all.
