A compilation mixtape in search of a movie, "Motor City" is an almost entirely wordless action movie that assumes audiences will be happy with bare minimum plotting as long as a song they enjoy is playing.

What separates it from many of its contemporaries is its confidence. It believes Ritchson can tell a story with his face, silence, and a perfectly chosen '70s soundtrack as effectively as another screenplay might tell it with a page of exposition.

The people in my theater were super obnoxious so it was kind of difficult to fully enjoy and immerse myself in the movie but overall I really really enjoyed it and I love the concept.
